Case Study : Building Clearance and Decontamination
Specialised business supporting building constructors/contractors in clearance and decontamination of brownfield sites for new developments. Fast growing business where employee numbers have doubled from 18 to over 30 in 3 year period. They had a provider of HR services already that had tied them to a long term contract ( 3 years with rolling 6 month renewals). Retainer fee based on 18 staff was in excess of £4500 plus vat per annum. The MD described the usage of the service as being infrequent but they rightly felt they needed the support as an “insurance” against any employment litigation. The owner’s frustration was that, whenever they did have an issue, it usually took “days” for any response.
We were able to provide a broader package for the current number of employees at a saving of approximately £1000 per annum to the client. Further, our SLA’s dictate that a call back will be made within 4 hours of any incoming enquiry by phone or email AND detailed advice provided within 24 hours. Further in the event of such an enquiry being received on a Friday we will strive to provide detailed advice before the weekend. The business was also attracted by the knowledge that they were no longer tied into a long term contract.
